Ordinary Time is the term in the church calendar for the Sundays following the Day of Pentecost, which was celebrated on May 23, 2010. This period lasts until the beginning of the new year in Advent, which starts on November 28, 2010. Simply put, half of the church year is described as "Ordinary Time".

Church Season: Pentecost (The Ordinary Time) Season Color: Green. For 2010 Pentecost begins on The Day Pentecost, May 23rd and end on November 27th.  Beginning November 29th, 2009, Year "C" St. Luke's will use the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL).
